Cruise line policy question

On an upcoming Carnival cruise the primary person in the cabin has decided to back out of the cruise. Two are in a balcony cabin with a great promotional rate.  will they allow the other person to board?  Will they charge the other person the current rate or deny boarding?

If the cruise is fully paid, it is fully paid.  Yes, the remaining person can board but they will not to be entitled to any perks that came with the booking.

I remember reading on various cruise websites that if you receive a state resident rate, military rate, first responders rate, etc the person who qualifies for the special rate has to cruise  -   If not —  then the cruise line can reprice the cruise.

If you just have them be a no show that works. You just would lose any perks associated with that person.

There are certain promotions that require the person who had the code and booked it to sail otherwise no one can sail and/or they will be charged the current rate.   I would call Carnival and ask about the rate code it was booked under and about  the terms and conditions.
