Paying for drink package ahead of time with Carnival gift cards question

We can get gift cards 10% off thru AARP.

With prices going up May 1 we are thinking of going ahead & booking drinks & wifi for our January 14 day cruise.

If something happens & we would have to cancel & we use gift cards to pay, how would they refund this?

Back to gift cards. Once you convert your cash to company money, it stays company money.

To clarify, it will be refunded to new gift cards, not reloaded on the original gift cards (Carnival GC are not reloadable).  @cruisingguy007, I'm sure that's what you meant, I just wanted to make sure that it was crystal for someone who didn't understand that 🙂

And  not one gift card either. On one of my cancled cruises I got different cards for inroom beverages, specialty dining spa, excursions, etc all FedExed one at a time.
