Displaced 2022 Volendam Cruisers - Have you received a reference for your OBC for moving over to a new cruise?

DH and I were scheduled to cruise on Volendam's first cruise back into service from Rotterdam on May 15, 2022, 14 nights to Norway's North Cape.  Cruises were cancelled from the May 15th sailing on through the beginning of July so that the ship can temporarily house Ukrainian refugees. We were not upset at all that our cruise was cancelled.

A move over offer for any cruise of approximately the same number of days in Europe for the 2022 season was put forth, retaining all of our pricing and incentives.  With this first announcement came an offer of $200 per person OBC for anyone who moved to a different cruise.  A day or two later a notice was sent offering $300 per person OBC for all passengers who moved to a different cruise in Europe for the 2022 season.

We moved over to the Rotterdam 14 night (then) Baltic sailing departing Amsterdam on May 8th.  It has now become a Scandinavia cruise, and we're fine with whatever itinerary changes need to be made.  We'll go anywhere!😊

So after this lengthy explanation, my question is this - Has anyone seen a reference to the OBC on their new cruise confirmation?  I do not see anything about it at all on any of my paperwork or on Navigator.  We cruise in 9 days.

Cheers!

It should be located, right below cruise cancellation and cruise protection on your booking confirmation in the pricing breakdown. Under special services. Took me awhile to notice it as well. If it isn't I would call in.

I rebooked my Volendam June 12 Iceland/Svalbard cruise to the N Statendam July 16 cruise.  [Did not roll it over as a much lower per diem rate so no point.] I booked the new cruise thru a popular online TA.  I see the $300 OBC on the confirmation from the TA.

Maybe a pic would help.

I show a $200 per person OBC in the same area, but we booked this as a casino rate and paid that $200 per person OBC ourselves, which is standard when booking a casino rate.  This was displayed on our Volendam booking, too.  I am seeing nothing additional.  I may have to give HAL a call on Monday.

One thing I've noticed is that your confirmation states, "Rebooked". under Financial History  Mine does not even have Financial History listed.

I will have to give HAL a call on Monday.

Thank you bunches for letting me compare my booking details with yours.

So if you also were booked on a casino deal, then is that your OBC from the $200 per person you paid yourself on the top AND the bottom - Or is the casino OBC on the top and is that the special incentive OBC offered by HAL for moving your Volendam cruise to a new cruise on the bottom?  Is what I am seeing here 2 different batches of $200 OBC per person?  If so, then I have that, too.  Maybe I'll just take all my paperwork with me to the ship and see if wee have $200 PP or a total of $400 PP.  It's confusing.

The way they explained it to me was the top was the previous cruise 200 OBC, the bottom was for the cancellation 200 voucher they promised. I spoke to 2 separate Supervisors, they assured me. I don't expect any problems, but who knows.

It's a total of 400 per person

My question is if the $200 OBC showing on my account is from the cancelled Volendam cruise. We couldn't rebook the replacement cruise because of my June hip replacement surgery. The expiration date is Nov. 5, 2022. We did book the same itinerary for next May so would like the OBC for that. Guess I'll need to make a call to see if it can be extended.

Yes, an extension would be nice. With HAL cancelling after final payment, I think the least they could do is have the OBC good for a year.

RynoWally, thanks so much for digging into this!  I appreciate it and it looks like we are squared away with our OBC.  Hooray! 😀
