Pmb0526 Posted May 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2022 We recently booked a 4 day and 3 day back to back. If I am reading things correctly we will be required to take a Covid test for the second leg of the cruise. Seems very strange given it only 7 total days. Any suggestions on best way to get the second test without costing several hundred dollars - there are 5 of us? I cant wait for all of this to return to normal. Pmb0526 Posted May 3, 2022 Author #2 Share Posted May 3, 2022 I should also have included that we are sailing out of Port Canaveral.
mz-s Posted May 3, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2022 Carnival's site currently says that vaccinated guests "may" be tested between legs of their B2B cruises. I don't think they currently are doing so. If you do need to be, it's likely that Carnival will administer the test for you onboard on turnaround day.
Pmb0526 Posted May 3, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted May 3, 2022 Thank you very interesting. It seems it was updated today but has contradictory information between sections now. Hopefully it will not be required. Thanks again.
nlktx49 Posted May 3, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 3, 2022 B2B in February out of Galveston, 5 days each, on next to last day of first part we got a letter in our cabin telling us where to go to get our test. There were about 50 or so passengers doing B2B, took a little while to get it done, maybe 30 minutes total. You waited until they told you your results, then you were free to go. No charge.

Without paying attention to the headings the page can seem very confusing.

On our Miracle B2B last month, we got a letter in our cabin telling us to report to the comedy lounge on the second-to-last day of our first cruise, sometime between 9:00-11:00am. We showed up, they found our names on a list, and directed us to the front of the lounge where a makeshift testing area was set up. Less than five minutes later, we were called to step forward, they swabbed us, and less than 10 minutes after that we were given the green light and handed certificates saying our tests were negative. No fuss, no muss, no hassle, and no cost.
kwokpot Posted May 5, 2022 #8 Share Posted May 5, 2022 Just off a b2b on the MardiGras and we didn't have to test before the 2nd cruise. Easy Peasy.
Shake-n-Bake Posted May 10, 2022 #9 Share Posted May 10, 2022 Just came of a B2B on the Sunshine and I didn't have to test between cruises. When I went to Guest Services the last day of my 1st cruise to inquire why I didn't get a letter about a covid test for the 2nd part I was told Carnival has stopped requiring covid test between B2B sailings. jsglow Posted May 10, 2022 #10 Share Posted May 10, 2022 Yep, all at the discretion of Medical Services nowadays. As others have said, when we B2B2B back in February, they tested us for free the day before disembarkation of each leg. If your cabin phone didn't ring for 30 minutes, you were told to assume you were good.
