Random thoughts and observations and I will try to answer some questions as able.

background: myself and wife are both platinum. Joining us are our 2 sons and father in law on his first cruise.  Flew in the night prior and stayed at Spring Hill Suites by the airport. Clean comfortable and spacious.. $18 Uber ride to little Havana and we got our authentic Cuban fix for dinner. Love me some La Carrey’s

Day 1 is in the books . Observations:

embarkation was super smooth. We had an awe sHi! Moment when our son didn’t have his birth certificate with him but we were able to get a pic of it sent in and they printed it out and cleared him to sail!!!
lunch up at Cucinna—- yes it’s open for lunch on embark day— only 2 other tables there while we ate-  as reported here on cc, while they stay closed through June for dinner,  they are putting a few items on the MDR menu

We have Havana for 1st time and it is awesome!! Love these patio balconies, and there is no loss of view of the ocean from a sitting point of view as your patio is several feet from the rail.
Dinner in MDR was fine. Enjoyed the Mahi Mahi.
Just chilled after dinner. Enjoyed some of the Sunny Girls trio as usual in they’re atrium. Horizon band played some good 80s music. Guns n Roses and Kiss… yes please!!  Comedy show was really good as always.

More later… brunch in MDR coming up now and I’m feeling some juevos rancheros followed by a full day laying out and hanging with new friends in Havana only to be interrupted by a guys burger.

The Havana area is wonderful. We never made it to any other pool areas of the ship. The dancing in the Havana Club at night was fun. By the end of your cruise you will have several new friends, all from the Havana area.

We spent alot of evenings in the atrium are listening to the Sunny Girls.

Enjoy your cruise!!!

Are you able to upload the menus with the items that are available in the MDR from Cucina? Is it the same thing daily, or is it switching out?

@kiiten816 it looks to be the same and I tried the chicken parm and so glad I didn’t pay for  it.

Recap of day 2:

brunch was already covered.earlier

All day spent hanging in Havana area. Ate guys for lunch and lido was absolutely slammed as was tides pool in aft area. Last summer there seemed to more chairs out in tides pool… hmmm

dinner in MDR. Most of the table went with prime rib and lobster tail, very tasty. Service slowish but I’m not cooking do I’m not complaining.

The celestial strings show was very entertaining. Even my 24 yr old like it.
Timing of dinner and sho didn’t line up with comedy show, but we checked out Havana lounge for some good Latin music, then finished with he night off at casino. Gotta show my face there and play so I continue to get these awesome casino deals. Played for an hour and left ahead so there’s that

Found some info about delivery to cabin food or other location onboard:

wings, quesadillas, Philly cheesesteak, chicken fingers or pizza for $6 or 7$

not sure of times available though

Day 3  Ocho Rios

relaxing breakfast up on Lido then made our way ashore. Just walked around to he compound a bit and headed to Margarittaville for a few appetizers and drinks and a quick dip into the water on their little beach.nothing much to report on otherwise

Dinner at steakhouse was at 8pm. Food was delicious and service was great. I so wanted to try wagyu beef but it is not on the menu any longer citing supply chain issues. The filet mignon with lobster tail sufficed for sure . The lobster bisque as a starter was real good. Since dinner was late we didn’t have time to get out and about but did call ch the 11:15 adult comedy and did enjoy Cisco’s show. He was not holding back.

heres the steakhouse menu:

Day 4: Grand Cayman

early arrival to port meant early to bed the night before.  Ahhh NO.
casino til late. Besides, beaches were made to sleep on right??

tender was real wuick and easy with 2 running at all times. Mid ship and aft deck 0 and done. No tour scheduled for us as we did stingrays last time here.
come out the terminal and head right and transport to beach is there for you. 6 pp to 7 mile beach. Upon arrival they are will heckle you to come with them to get your umbrella and chairs which are plentiful. The further down the beach you go, the better the price. I wasn’t looking to bargain , just wasn’t looking to be near the big crowd. Our guy got me a really cold 6 pack of local Cayman beer for 12. Cheapest bucket of the week .

While on the way in we spotted a food truck in the parking lot which we tried as leaving—- very tasty food.. Highly recommend the Islander sandwich . Headed back around 1:30 for trinket shopping and to avoid being on last tender which is 3:15. Wound up spending the rest of the day pre dinner in Havana.
Dinner was delicious at Bonsai Sushi as usual.
it was kind of a chill night. The production show was very good.
time for breakfast now and then off to Coz- looks like rain as we head in so Paradise beach may become shopping and lunch downtown

Day 5 Cozumel

late arrival to port with 5 or so ships in port = crowded beaches.  Our go to spot Paradise beach was oversold and reservation only, so we went next door to San Francisco Beach. That was $20 pp and it was about 1.5 hrs to get a lounger once people started to leave.
Unfortunately seaweed was abundant for first 5 feet. Once we got past that, the water was good. There were inflatables that were free to use. They had a smallish heated pool, and they didn’t short pour drinks as is usually the case with the all inclusive places.  Food was good. Overall a decent second option but it is what it is.
cab fare was $23 each way and as usual taxis were abundant.

returned to Horixon for a little Havana time and a late dinner which was delicious. Pic is of Shrimp Creole.

Comedy  show was packed as CJ and Cisco were in good form. Only problem is for me, I’m used to late night comedy, but a lot of shows were 9:30/10:30.
