LIVE from Alaska on the Quantum of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Be forewarned, for those who plan to “work” while on the cruise, there we’re prolonged periods (all morning, evening) cruising to/from Icy Point Strait where there was no Wi-Fi service. The terrain around the ship was blocking our view of the satellite. And for AT&T users, there was no / very very very poor reception in Icy Strait dock area.

Same on our cruise…..very spotty Wi-Fi and quite a few days the tv channels wouldn’t play or be stuck

One day though while this was happening they did play 3-4 pat per view movies for free…..they only announced it on the daily show and we watched a few of them while chilling in the cabin

A great service provided by the Port of Seattle is the Port Valet service. Port Valet collects your luggage from your stateroom on the last night of the cruise and checks them in with your airlines. The next time you see your bags is at your home airport.

You pay the normal luggage fee from your airline (free for some people).

There is no overweight fees, so load up with Alaskan swag.

Bird...are there wheelchairs onboard that we can rent or borrow? (Asking for my MIL who loves to walk but gets tired easily.) Thanks!

If you need a wheel chair or scooter, you should arrange for a rental for the duration of the cruise.
