Carnival gift card question

Hi fellow cruisers.

I was gifted $500 in carnival gift cards but they came to my email. How do I redeem them? I'm already paid in full so I can't apply them to my balance. Do I have to print them and bring them with me or can I apply it to my account now? I sail in September and don't want to misplace them.

Thanks

 Melissa

you will need to print it out and bring it with you. onboard the ship you can use the sail n sign kiosk to add the gift card to your onboard. Guest services can do this too

You could use them now for things like shore excursions, specially dinning, spa treatments, etc

Yep, I printed ours out and brought it to customer service when we sailed. We hadn't paid our gratuities in advance (we normally do, just didn't for some reason this time). Plus we booked some excursions and our bubbles package once we got on board, so it went right to that. It was pretty easy to do.

Yes this what we had to do on our recent Mardi Gras cruise. Guest services posted to our S & S account

To avoid printing and even accessing email, they can be saved to your Apple Wallet on iphone or Google Pay on Android devices...So if you decided not to use them prior to cruising or waited until ship left port and did not buy an internet package you could add them later in the cruise.

One other option if you wanted to deal with it beforehand...

Cruise cash for your sailing can be purchased (5 x $100, which will apply to your account like a general credit) and paid for with the gift card.

Note that if you do this, the cruise cash does not survive the trip if it's not spent... (so go to the casino and charge / cash out the balance before your last night if you haven't spent it...)
