lastchamp64 Posted June 7, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2022 I'm currently booked on the Splendor, March 11th, 2023 for 10 nights in the Caribbean staying in a Concierge Suite 1022 (D). I'm thinking of upgrading to a Penthouse Suite (A). The only thing available is 1202 and a few on deck 14. This will be our first cruise with Regent. I'm curious as to any thoughts of the top deck 14 and these suites. Thanks all.
daetchief Posted June 8, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2022 Based on the fact that you're already reserved on Deck 10, the additional elevation to Decks 12 nor 14 would not be significantly different. The higher you go the more the arc of pitch and roll - or at least the motion of the arc. Good news is that usually the Caribbean is a rather smooth ride. There could be a difference in the sizes of Penthouse balconies. Check the Deck diagrams and if their is a suite with an extended balcony that would be a decision maker for me. flossie009 Posted June 8, 2022 #4 Share Posted June 8, 2022 (edited) We were on deck 14 (D grade) on Splendor in December for a Caribbean cruise. We loved the secluded location up top and did not suffer undue motion. The balconies on decks 14 & 12 are shallower than on deck 10, but the drawback of suites on deck 10 is the possibility of noise from the Pool deck above. 1202 might suffer noise from the Observation lounge below.
