Had Covid 30 Days ago - still positive

Recommended Posts

When someone gets Covid they can sometimes still have a positive test a month or so after having Covid and recovering. I don’t see any latitude in this situation where a doctor could write a note saying the person has recovered. From all I have read if you don’t have a negative test you don’t get onboard even if fully vaccinated.

Does anybody know what happens in this scenario?

thanks

Are you still actually testing positive or jus reading that you can.  When testing for the cruise make sure to use the rapid antigen test as opposed to the PCR or rapid NAAT.  The rapid antigen is much less sensitive and most people will test negative after 7-10 days.

If you have a positive PCR test, you can get a Certificate of Recovery from your doctor 11-90 days after the date of the positive test. If it was not PCR, you cannot use a COR. That said, most people do not continue to test positive with Antigen tests at the 30 day mark (but still possible with PCR). All Royal Caribbean needs is negative Antigen.
