Been too long since I did that in between 6 dayer. I did a search on Carnival's site and only found this: 1. What do I wear? By and far, this is the question I hear the most often. First, check your itinerary to see how many formal nights you’ll have. Men can wear a suit or tux – but they can also get away with slacks and a button down shirt and tie. Women can wear a nice dress (think “Sunday Best”) or go ALL OUT in a gown fit for prom, it’s up to you! Dinner in the formal dining room is business casual with the exception of formal night. Pretty much anything goes except for shorts, sandals and tank tops. And NO WHERE in the itinerary does it tell you formal nights so that is a joke. Rare shof515 Posted July 15, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2022 the carnival website also has this to give you an idea: The first “Cruise Elegant” evening is scheduled for the second or third evening of the cruise and the second “Cruise Elegant” evening is the second or third evening prior to the end of the cruise, itinerary schedule permitting. elegant night is always on a sea day

We've been on cruises where the 2nd Elegant night has been on a port day. 😎

Usually a port where you are back onboard early in the day about 3-4 pm.
