Re-faring a cabin with a casino offer

Can a cabin which was booked under a casino offer be re-fared? We booked a cruise under a casino offer. The offer has now expired, but there has been a substantial reduction of the price. We have not reached the time for final payment. In fact, the cruise is still 15 months away. I do not have a travel agent on this cruise. Can I call Princess to re-fare the cost of the cabin?

You can certainly call but make sure that ALL correspondence about this booking MUST be done through the casino dept. If you call the main Princess line, I guarantee your booking will be screwed up.

My agent added E-Z air and insurance through her main contact at PCL and not through the casino dept. That faux-pas cost me $700. I was to get $300 in casino play and my deposits for 2 at $200 each. Instead, the cruise was cancelled on me without notice. When it was reinstated, none of my casino dept. comps were reinstated. I didn't notice on my travel summary that they were not there but I noticed once onboard. Without a printed travel summary with the comps listed, I had no recourse. My TA didn't go to bat for me. I need a new TA.

Yeah, I'm a little bitter.

All of our offers are for free cabins so this would be a moot point for me

You should always strive for better.... Shoot for that deal where they pay *you* to go on the cruise.  I don't know anybody who has received that offer, but it's bound to be out there!  I think you just have to pay about $2000 in gratuities.

Our last offer we took will be in November. Free balcony, Princess Plus and $1,250 in free play between the 2 of us. Of course deposit back as OBC. So all we really paid was port charges and taxes.
