1st time cruiser's question regarding beach towel

Hi,

 

Am I allowed to take the ship's towel with me to the beach on the port day or should I bring my own beach towels?

AFAIK, you can take the blue beach towels with you when you go ashore. However these are now dispensed from the pool deck, rather than being left in your cabin.

They were in my cabin last month.

Were you on one of the 2 granny class ships?

Britannia defonitely has them available on the pool deck.

I think they were also available at poolside, but were definitely in cabin.

Yes you definitely can. If we were going for a few hours at a beach, we just took a batch towels with us for sitting on and for drying ourselves off. There were loads up by the pools (Britannia) which we would grab after breakfast and return later
 

And I think makes a nice change for the towels being used: most seem to end up being sprawled over deck sun loungers while their ‘owners’ vanish without trace for a few hours…..(the source of much entertainment at times, too) 🤣

No, if I'm understanding the posts correctly then they are referring to the older ships that are adult only?

I was on Ventura last month, you've got the white bath towels in your cabin, then you've got blue beach towels that you get + return poolside. We took our on towels, but didn't really need them
