FrizzbeeCruiser Posted August 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2022 Of the ports: Cabo, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta. Which one is the best for the whale watching excursion in January? TIA
Mike45LC Posted August 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2022 I would do Cabo. I don't know if Cabo is better for whale watching than the other two, but I find more to do in Mazatlan and PV, so I am happier to spend the time on the water in Cabo. For the same reason, Cabo is where I recommend people take a beach day -- in my never humble opinion, there isn't a lot to do in Cabo.
CruiserBruce Posted August 10, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2022 Definitely Cabo. PV isn't bad, but Cabo is clearly better.
KeepCalmBearOn Posted August 10, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2022 Cabo for Gray Whales, Puerto Vallarta for Humpback Whales.
FrizzbeeCruiser Posted August 15, 2022 Author #5 Share Posted August 15, 2022 Thanks Y'all. We'll be on a B2B in January that makes 2 stops in Cabo. So that might just work out. I was hoping for warm weather in Cabo to take a beach day.... But upon further research.. Looks like above 70 degrees aren't norm until PV. 😭

Joebucks Posted August 23, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 23, 2022 Maybe we just got lucky. We saw whales from the ship while in Cabo.
