3?!?!? We were only invited to one. Our friends were invited to 2. I don't think I've heard of anyone being invited to 3. Did you play the lottery when you got home?!? 😄

No, but my daughter put $50 dollars in a penny slot machine, did 3 pulls and won $372.

I'm back from my cruise on Scarlett Lady. The previous few posts and reviews could have been written by me as they were very close to my experience. I went in with an open mind and had a fantastic time and booked another cruise while onboard.

As we were leaving breakfast yesterday we were asked if we had a good time. I was honest and said we had cruised a lot on RC and loved it and will continue to do so but Virgin exceed all expectations.

I wasn't sold on Virgin when I first saw the commercials and reviews but I'm so happy that I took the chance and tried something new. And the demographics of the sailors is very wide and diverse. I turned 60 on the cruise and my daughters are 28. We all had a great time.

WONDERFUL review and insights on the Royal Caribbean and Virgin Voyages comparison.

VERY much appreciated!

THANKS for the review. I’m pretty sure that I’m gonna love Virgin Voyages as well, I just need to “let my hair down a little bit” and quit being an old fuddy-duddy.

I think I was using my default cruise line as Royal Caribbean only because they were a drive-to-port. There really wasn’t anything out of Baltimore that I cared for, so Anthem of the Seas was my first choice when narrowing down options. NCL really wasn’t ever a consideration until now, and then somehow I found Virgin Voyages with the “no single occupancy surcharge”. I think they had me at “AHOY, sailor”. 😉

Walter's review definitely intrigued my wife and I. Also crew members being allowed to be themselves means is probably a very fun and gay friendly community, which is great!!!

Very very interested and we'll definitely book Virgin for next year!

I'm glad to hear the reviews were helpful. Yes it was very cool seeing the crew members just be themselves. I mean ALL the cruise lines crews are amazing and they are the reason we keep coming back to cruising for travel. But the VV crew definitely had a more laid back and comfortable vibe about them. 🙂

Ok we need to cruise with you next time. Our luck isn't anywhere close to that. 😆

I'm not the lucky one, I lost money in the casino. My daughters got the invite to the private parties and won in the casino. I just tagged along.

Well you’ve got me! I travel solo most of the time and I do have a sweet deal on the Jewel for this October transatlantic cruise but for next year the price of RCI balcony v Virgin is 100% + more expensive and that’s without Wi-Fi, gratuities and refreshments!

I’m going with Virgin next year.
