Sny Posted August 20, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Getting excited about our September/October cruise and trying to anticipate when we'll get the Blue Book with our luggage tags. Can anyone recall how far in advance they arrive? Want to do Luggage Forward or Luggage Free and I recall that that info is also in the book. Rare LHT28 Posted August 20, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2022 You can check Luggage forward now https://app.luggageforward.com/book/oceania-cruises/luggage-valet-service
Hanoverian Posted August 20, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2022 If it helps, we are on Sirena, "Whimsical Europe", sailing from Portsmouth, England, on September 17. We received our Blue Book and tags on August 19. We also are using Luggage Forward as we have in the past, but have always gone ahead and contracted with them on the internet when it suited us. No reason to wait for the Blue Book to do so. You will need some information from your reservation with Oceania, such as your suite number, but you can always get what you need from your invoice or your TA.
Sny Posted August 20, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Thanks, Hanoverian. Sounds like: 1. We should be getting the book in the next week or two and 2. I need to go online and get the Luggage Forward booked.
Hanoverian Posted August 20, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2022 Exactly. If you need help with the web site, call them during the week. They have been helpful in the past. Keep 'em straight down there in Salem.
WESTEAST Posted August 21, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2022 (edited) We received our Cruise Vacation Guide by FedEX four weeks prior to our upcoming September cruise. It is no longer a Blue Book and is two documents: General Travel & Onboard Information brochure like document and Shore Excursions brochure like document along with a new style of luggage tags. Both documents are in a paper folder with a magnet closure. Disappointing as we always liked the Blue Book and kept it as a souvenir. nursinadream Posted August 21, 2022 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2022 The 2 catalogs were inside a heavily glossed folder with pockets and magnetized closure. 2
IWantToLiveOverTheSea Posted August 29, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 29, 2022 Loved the new book in May, and athe luggage tags too!
Sny Posted August 30, 2022 Author #10 Share Posted August 30, 2022 I like that the Shore Excursion booklet is separate. It's so bulky, and since our decisions were made long ago, I can leave it at home.
adorocke Posted September 6, 2022 #11 Share Posted September 6, 2022 Our cruise is on Sept. 16th and we are leaving on the 14th... Have not received this yet. Should I be calling them? TIA

HiFi43 Posted September 6, 2022 #14 Share Posted September 6, 2022 On the last couple of cruises we took after Covid we did not get our Blue Book before we sailed. Our next cruise is on September 13th and we have not gotten one for that yet either. It really does not matter because you are already fully registered if you did the on-line requirements. Plus, Oceania will issue you luggage tags at the embarkation port when you arrive to board.
babysteps Posted September 6, 2022 #15 Share Posted September 6, 2022 November 2021 we got blue book about 2 weeks prior to cruise. August 2022 we haven't yet received bluebook but many others on our cruise did. Luggage tags provided at port no problem (helps if you know your state room #). Your mileage may vary! tvmovielover Posted September 7, 2022 #16 Share Posted September 7, 2022 We got ours today for Sept 26 embarkation. However, we have not gotten the book on all of our past cruises including the first one and it was not a problem. They have everything at check-in. The book is in fancier packaging now but has the same old info inside as said by others. Do not get uptight about the blue book.
