Megan_Strick Posted August 22, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2022 Ok y'all. I'm so confused. We sail Sept 5. I'm vaccinated and boosted. My son and DIL are vaccinated but not boosted. I just want to be clear that they HAVE to be tested right? The rule of no testing starts Sept. 6.
ultrafighter Posted August 22, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2022 Boosted doesn't matter except for a handful of cruises regardless of the sail date.
4hunters Posted August 22, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2022 (edited) If your cruise is longer than 5 days, you are correct. ALL of you need to provide a negative COVID test in order to board (being boosted doesn't matter). Enjoy your cruise! 🙂 Edited August 22, 2022 by 4hunters Grammar

The boosters are irrelevant to you. If you are vaccinated with 2 doses of mrna OR 1 dose of J&J you do not need to test.

hockey97 Posted August 22, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 22, 2022 I'm confused as well. Our cruise says 5 days, but it's really 5 nights. Isn't that 6 days? I called as well and they said no test needed, verifly also says all set to go.

Carnival never uses "nights" to describe their cruises, they go by days and they don't count the day you leave. 1

It will say 5 day, 6 day, etc. No confusion at all, just review that. Don't over think it. 😝 2

I think they don't count the day you arrive back in your port of origin, but do count your embarkation day. That's why Cheers works on "Day 1" when you embark, but not on day (length of cruise+1) when you arrive back in port. And why the Funtimes/sheet (or HUBapp) will say "Day 1" for that embarkation day.
