ScottC4746 Posted August 26, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2022 Checking the weather for our cruise next week to Alaska on Solstice looks like it is going to be coolish mid 50's and wet the entire time. Does this mean the kiddos now move to the indoor pool or is there a retractable roof over the main pool?

Anybody under the age of 21 is impervious to chilly, wet weather and will be perfectly happy not to have to share the outdoor pool with older folk who insist on wearing their hat and sunglasses while 'swimming'. All Celebrity ships have an indoor pool;however, they are for 16 and older. In the situation of Alaska they may designate a limited time where the indoor pool may be used by children. Someone currently on the Solstice can chime in.

So far they have posted the daily planners up to day three, where there is a listing for family hours from 4-7pm in the Solarium. The first two days the Solarium, where the indoor pool is located, is adults only. This confirms my initial posting of limited family hours in the solarium on cold weather itineraries. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2874285-live-solstice-rt-seattle-to-alaska/?do=findComment&comment=63808630
jelayne Posted August 26, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 26, 2022 When they weather is too cool for the outdoor they usually designate a 2 hours window when children can use the Solarium pool accompanied by an adult

I read the first two just to give me an idea. The rest I am leaving as a surprise.
