More entertainment from last night.  These folks were playing in the atrium.  They’re quite good and had the dance floor jumping.

 

Casino….Cash Hold’em is “my game”.  They have one table dedicated to the game.  Have passed by it several times, at different times in the evenings, and at most, there would be two other people waiting to play (which isn’t enough).

 

Finally settled in for a couple of hours of Black Jack last nite.

 

Result?

Thanks, I hate typing on my iPhone but I will have my MBP since I'll be taking a lot of video... mostly underwater

Yeah…typing on the iPhone (as I am now) is a bit tedious, but better than it used to be with small

screens.  I also went with the Pro Max…and maxed it out with 1TB.  

 

Bottom line, I switched from T-Mobile (signal inexplicably became much worse at home and they couldn’t figure out why) to Verizon (who has their own issues with spam calls).  Verizon gave me $500 to switch, sold my iPhone X to one of my son’s friends for $175.  Sold my GoPro on flea bay for $200. Not cheap, but used all those proceeds to buy the 14.

 

I don’t shoot underwater, but with that much space, I decided I could sell me GoPro.  The recent iPhone’s image stabilization is good for video.

 

 

 

Funny story (at least I think so)….I sat down at the Black Jack table last night and pulled out my iPhone.  Dealer said I was forbidden to.  Went all out in outfitting my 14 when I bought it with an Apple case and a Mag Wallet.

 

I explained to the dealer my keycard and money were stored with my 14 case.  Dealer had to call over the pit boss for permission to pull out my iPhone to get what I needed to play.  

 

I just chuckled.

I've got 256 on my phone, however I have 4TB of SSB on my laptop and I'll bring my 8TB portable drive. Shooting 4 and 5.3k at 60 and 120fps gives you some massive files Lol

Video is a whole other challenge for me compared to photos.  I'm sitting on some unique video from my Prima trip last month of the Bermuda pilot getting off the ship on stormy seas from the glass walkway.  I'll try to edit and post one of these days...

No disagreement about video.  Mostly I keep video for my own consumption.  Posting video to CC is a huge challenge…particularly trying to do it “live”!

I know I’m going to catch “heck” from some of you for this, but I enjoy listening to music and podcasts while showering or having cocktails on the balcony.

 

Found this little gem on Amazon for $30 a couple of weeks before the cruise.   Bluetooth/waterproof speaker that sounds 10X as good as it has any right to given the price.

 

And no, I don’t blast it.  I don’t believe my neighbors can even hear it unless they’re peaking around the corner into my balcony.

NCL may follow one of these days/years, but in Las Vegas, at least at the MGM properties, they've lifted their "no phone" rules at the tables.  Now you can text, surf, or do whatever else you do with your phone (I'm assuming not live video!) to your heart's content.

We must be twins separated at birth. 
I travel with this tiny but mighty bluetooth speaker. Pretty sure my neighbors have moved cabins.
