Status Change while on ship

We are currently Red Status and once we board this cruise we will turn Gold Status. How will that work as far as benefits? Are we considered Gold as soon as we board or will it not count until after the cruise? I see there is not a lot of perks turning gold but i would like the free drink and pin!  😄

You will be Gold at boarding.  Your status will change on your boarding pass after check in

I will be turning Platinum a couple of days into an upcoming cruise and know on the first day of the cruise, I'll be a Plat.  All of my paperwork says Gold except for the baggage tags (which states Platinum).

not sure on this one, usually status change is at the end of a cruise and not the beginning

Not on Carnival.  If your VIFP Level changes anytime during the cruise you are that new VIFP Level at the beginning of the cruise.

I was actually wondering the same thing as I'm red with 24 days. Sailing on October 3rd and just printed my documents and it states gold on my boarding pass. So yaaaay
