snorkeling

where is the best snorkeling in Bermuda. Is it best to go in the water from the beach or take a boat to a cove.  Thanks

My personal opinion is snorkeling from a boat is better in Bermuda but there are couple of beaches with decent snorkeling. Tobacco Bay and Church Bay with Church Bay being better. Don't know when your trip is but I read that the recent storm damaged the stairs down to Church Bay  and washed away some sand.

I agree and second doing it from a boat. We've rented from Somerset Bridge Watersports several times before and had a good experience. https://bdawatersports.com/ Very close to Dockyard. They provide ice/water and bread to feed the fish. The snorkeling near the wreck of HMS Vixen is fun.
