Casino points?

So if you put your key card in while playing in the casino, you accumulate points. What are they for? (not a high roller, LOL)

It does two things. Your play will establish a rating. If you consistently visit the casino, you can call CAS to see what they will offer you on a future cruise. Discount. Comp'ed inside room. Comp'ed Haven room. Every little discount helps on a future cruise. On a typical cruise 10%-25% of the adult passengers onboard are sailing with the casino (land-based casino discount, land-based casino comp, CAS discount, CAS comp).

The second thing it does it goes toward your tier status (like a land-based casino).

You do not need to be a high roller to get freebies.A week or so after any cruise where you have casino play, call the Casino At Sea (CAS) team and see if you have earned anything.  Getting a discount or even a free inside cabin is not difficult.

When you reach 2500 points they comp charges on your final bill.

Hah.  I had 3000+ plus points that just vanished.  I was told they were on the final bill (which I conveniently never received on that cruise). Started at 0 on my next cruise, so I asked what happened, they supposedly checked and said it was on my bill.  Nope.  Still trying to figure out what happened to my credits.  The points I have now don't match what they say I've earned.  Lesson learned, cash out your credits!!!!!

If you have over 2500 points on a cruise, you should stop by the host desk on the last night and see what charges they are willing to comp off your bill.

How  many dollars do you have to run through slot machine for a point?  Is it the same for slots and VP?

https://www.ncl.com/why-cruise-norwegian/casino-cruise/players-club

REEL & VIDEO SLOTS: For every $5 coin-in, receive 1 point.

VIDEO POKER: For every $10 coin-in, receive 1 point.

Redeem your points for slot and table game play, toward charges off your final bill or save them for your next cruise.*

Points can also be transferred from ship to ship. Earned points stay on your account for 18 months if not redeemed.

*Points earned on qualifying slot machines and table games.
