group of 7 traveling in and out of FLL for cruise out of port of MIA.   Staying night before and night after in FLL from airport.  Trying to decide if we should rent a huge van which is pretty costly, rent multiple vehicles or arrange for charter transportation from hotel to port and then port to hotel.  Seems crazy to rent car for week to part at pier but not sure what is best idea at this point.   Have been staring at too many prices and options online.  Any advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated from anyone who has tackled this type of task already.  All 7 are adults with large suitcases also 😞  Thank you so much

When you do the math, remember that shuttles will charge you per person.  Uber, Lyft and taxis charge per vehicle.  Uber and Lyft charge by the size of the vehicle (as Flymia noted, you will need two).  In south Florida taxi prices do not vary depending on the vehicle - a sedan taxi is the same as a van.  Again you will need two.

You may want to check with the Concierge desk with your hotel.  They may be able to help you.  We are staying at Conrad pre cruise and their concierge was able to get us something nice and reasonably priced.

I had never heard of him on these boards and googled his name.  He is in Orlando, not Fort Lauderdale or Miami (OP is arriving/departing from FLL and sailing out of Port Miami) unless his website hasn't been updated.

I am interested in using him in September. Is he safe for solo female traveler?

Sure, but he had a big 15 passenger van. Ask about a car instead.
