T.I.A https://www.princess.com/plan/fcc-onboard-cruise-credits/ Really, just about anything you purchase OB. Including gratuities, drinks, shopping in the stores, excursions, spa, specialty restaurants, etc.

skynight Posted October 12, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2022 (edited) You can not use OBC to purchase future cruise deposits. FCDs are charged directly to your credit card. It isn't really a good idea to try to use OBC to provide extra tips to the crew. Better to use cash. You can use OBC for everything else. In accounting terms OBC is a credit on your on board account. Everything charged to the account will net against the credit balance. Edited October 12, 2022 by skynight
Rare travelin.sisters Posted October 12, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2022 if you use OBC for tips it goes into the fund that is split amongst all ships in the fleet, you cannot designate it to an individual crew member

shubsens Posted October 12, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 12, 2022 Can you use the OBC in the casino?

If playing slots just select an amount and charge to your on board account. If playing tables just ask the dealer to charge to your on board account. The amounts you select, example $100, will be charged to your on board account and net against any credit balance (OBC). The $100 is then transferred to your casino account. You must cash out your casino account on or before the last day the casino is open usually the last evening of the cruise.

Unless you are sailing out of Canada. If your last port of call is Victoria they won't open the casino that evening while sailing to Vancouver for disembarkation and you won't be able to get your money out. If this is the case, be sure to get your money out before the last night of the cruise. If you fail to do so they will eventually send you a check but you won't have that money on hand if you had planned to tip your room steward or favorite bar staff, etc.
