Mereviglia YC vs. Seaside/Seashore YC

We have sailed in the YC on Seaside and Seashore several times, but are considering a Mereviglia sailing next summer.

Can anyone compare/contrast the YC experiences between the Seaside class and Mereviglia? Anything other general thoughts on Mereviglia as a ship are welcomed, too.

Thanks in advance.

We have sailed in the Seaside and Seashore YCs and are currently in the Meraviglia YC. Here’s a highly subjective comparison of the three. The Seaside and Seashore are sister ships with a similar layout that I’m sure you are familiar with. The Meraviglia YC area is a little different. The restaurant does not overlook the Top Sail Lounge as it does on the other ships but is self contained on deck 18 with its own front facing observation window. The TS Lounge is smaller on the Meraviglia. The pool deck is also different. There’s no sit around bar as such on the Meraviglia. On the other ships, this bar was our go to spot in the afternoon. We also found service on the Meraviglia pool deck to be virtually nonexistent. The Seashore hot tub is bigger than the Meraviglia pool. We generally found the food better on the Meraviglia and the service in the restaurant was outstanding. We found the snacks in the Seashore TS Lounge to be pretty pathetic. They are quite good on the Meraviglia. Several posters mentioned the donuts that were available at the snack buffet during breakfast. Never had any until the Meraviglia and boy are they good.  As I mentioned in another post you do not get a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival on the Meraviglia. You apparently do on the Seashore. Outside of the YC there are limited outside walking areas on the Meraviglia but it has a galleria with periodic light shows. We also enjoyed drinks at the Venchi chocolate shop on the Seaside/Seashore . The chocolate shop on the Meraviglia has coffee based alcoholic drinks rather than chocolate based drinks. Let’s face it, the YC experience on all three ships is wonderful but because of personal preferences we would select the Seaside/Seashore class ships over the Meraviglia. We are on the Meraviglia for another week so if you have any specific questions I’d be happy to try to answer them.

Forgot to talk about the cabins. We have only stayed in deluxe suites (balcony cabins). We found the Meraviglia cabins and bathroom to be a tad smaller. The balcony was considerably smaller. On the Seashore there was room for two loungers and two chairs,. Don’t think you could even fit one lounger on the Meraviglia balcony.
