iluvthe-c Posted October 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Anyone have any idea as to why the NCL Joy itinerary changed earlier this month (and so far out - January 2024) to dropping Costa Rica and adding a Sea Day? I believe the Gem is still scheduled to stop there around the same time that we were originally going to. Joy is a full transit and Gem is partial. We are booked and really looking forward to Costa Rica. Eight of us going and none have been there. Should I hold out hope that CR will be reinstated? CruiserBruce Posted October 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2022 I would be asking on the NCL board, as this really doesn't have anything to do with the Panama Canal. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/64-norwegian-cruise-line/
Rare Essiesmom Posted October 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2022 Is that a charter? I’m not seeing a cruise on Joy leaving Jan 26, 2024. EM

halos Posted October 25, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 25, 2022 NCL also dropped Costa Rica from the 12/4 Joy, Panama Canal itinerary and we too are bummed about it, but we've cruised long enough to understand that this stuff happens, unfortunately. I'm currently searching for some options for excursions for Panama City. I had to cancel the one we booked for Costa Rica. They added Acapulco to our itinerary; also, not a great thing IMO...but it's been so long since we've been there that we are hoping for a better experience this time around
