Wrong.  If you checked in online, you should have an express pass. When you get to the pier at your designated time, they just look at your express pass and your passport then you go on the ship.

Really ? Almost everyone checks in online and has an express pass prior to arrival at the terminal.

There were hundreds of people waiting to board the ship whose arrival time had come and gone by the time they were allowed to board.

Boarding is done by a set order regardless of you check in time.  If you are in a Elite or Elite +  you will not board until after Zenith’s and Suites who have checked in have boarded.

Yes, but that terminal arrival time should also dictate the order in which you are going to board the ship (after suite boarding) correct?

Not necessarily, Boarding is usually done with Suites & Zenith first, Elite +, etc., and others following.  The arrival time is simply your time to arrive, check in, and prepare to board.

Not any longer.

Suites and Zenith have priority checkin.  They board immediately after checkin.  Everyone else has a checkin time.  They are supposed to not check you in till your arrival time.  When you are checked in you board.

I 100% agree this is not always followed.  Elites and Elite+ had no priority boarding on our recent Summit cruise
