Why Do You Sail HAL Ships ?

We first sailed other Rottwrdam V, we loved the old world feeling,  we were celebrating our 20th anniversary,  we have continued to sail Hal,  because reading comments on other cruise lines, the ones we could afford, didn't meet our expectations. Also friends like Hal as well so we travel together.

We have primarily chosen HAL cruises because of the fantastic itineraries and reasonable prices (when compared to some of the better lines we favor).   The only time we booked HAL because of the ship was with the old Prinsendam (we had exactly 200 days on that vessel) which was a personal favorite.  In the interests of full disclosure, we have yet to sail on any of the Pinnacle Class.

We still miss the Prinsendam. We were so fortunate to sail on it through the Kiel Canal and on its final voyage.

Welcome home. 

 

Particularly, when one is returning to the ship after an exotic port shore excursion, that banner is very welcome by me to see.

 

The refreshment tents with some seating that are created near the gangway at many ports are a welcome amenity.  Maybe no banner at those ports, but, the "Welcome Home!" is there.
