firstsailor Posted October 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2022 Hi! I have seen so many post about great alcoholic drinks onboard, I am not a drinker so looking for some good ideas on the refreshment package. On our last cruise I had waters and coffees and that's about it. The frozen drinks (pina colada etc) are just way too sweet and I dont drink soda. We will be on Harmony this time around (we were on Odyssey last so no vitality spa but looking forward to some of those smoothies this time) Anything besides the "usual"? Thanks!

We don't drink alcohol either, and my husband and I had fun on our last few cruises trying different mocktails. He likes the frozen fruity drinks, I also find them to be too sweet. My go to drink after trying a few was a virgin mojito. It can also be made frozen. Delicious!
erinsmom03 Posted October 30, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2022 Others to try non-alcoholic: Mai Tai, Miami Vice, Lime & Coconut, Coco Loco or Labadoozie
YadaYadaJodi Posted January 5, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2023 Hello! We are sailing on the Allure soon. DH is getting the Refreshment Package instead of Deluxe Beverage Package for 1st time. I just want to be sure I'm correctly telling him what is included. The official list: Fountain Soda Freestyle beverages Non-alcoholic cocktails (mocktails) Still and sparkling water Premium coffees and teas (I know not THE Starbucks location) Fresh-squeezed juices Question is are the following included - and for sure included or do they vary by ship (of course no, if venue isn't even on the ship) and/or bartender: Energy Drinks Johnny Rockets Milkshakes/Malts Vitality Spa Smoothies Anything else I'm not thinking of? Thank you!
YadaYadaJodi Posted January 5, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2023 2nd Refreshment Package question not to be confused with the one I just posted. Let's say DH wants to indulge in an alcoholic Lava Flow. Can he order the non-alcoholic one with his package and just pay for a shot of rum "on the side"? So maybe paying around $10+gratuity instead of full $14+gratuity? Has anyone done this? I'm thinking for an extra cash tip the bartender would go ahead and mix it in as well instead of serving it on the side. Thoughts? Thanks!
Woodmnky Posted January 5, 2023 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2023 Frozen drinks are also too sweet for me. One of my favorites on Harmony with the Refreshment package was a Club Soda with a splash of one of the mixers. Club soda and margarita mix. Club soda and strawberry daiquiri mix with some fresh lime juice. They usually filled the cup with ice and 2/3 of the way with Club soda and the rest was mixer. This still provided a nice flavor, but kept things light and refreshing. I did have 1 or 2 of the fresh fruit smoothies from the spa cafe and they were good as well.
Rare lattegirl10 Posted January 5, 2023 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2023 Yes, I wanted to know the same thing. We have a comped cruise and think its crazy to pay more for a drinks package than the cruise itself for 2 people. With that said, has anyone paid the difference at bars if you have the replenish package and wanted to add a shot of Patron, Titos, etc. to a frozen drink? how much more is it? We get free drinks in the casino when its open, so any hacks or suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Perhaps I will post on main board..
GatorMomInNC Posted January 9, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 9, 2023 Any info on the kinds of coffees you can get? I don't like coffee really, but I also don't like soda. I have something I like at home with caffeine, but on cruises I need to find a sweet alternative that doesn't taste too coffee-ish. So on other cruiselines I usually get a caramel mocchiato on ice. Can I get something similar using the refreshment package on RCCL? Do the non starbucks venues have those kinds of things?
