Doubt It Posted October 31, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2022 Greetings everyone! Happy Halloween! Question - Given the declining Cdn $ - does anyone know if Oceania has any incentives in their pricing for Canadians? The Cdn $ is hindering me and numerous of my friends and acquaintances from booking cruises and other travel. Are there any strategies you experts could recommend? Thank you kindly. pete_coach Posted October 31, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2022 With cruising returning to its former popularity, maybe even more, I suspect there will be no "deals" for any nationality specifically. There may be "deals" or sales or specials but the bottom line is they will always be the American dollar equivalent. My Wife and I went on a Scenic river Cruise from Tarascon to Lyon this past Summer and it was geared to Canadians but there was no "deal".
Rare LHT28 Posted October 31, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2022 I would ask O what the exchange rate they are using now Sometimes it is good for so many months before they change to the bank rate Pre covid When the USD was a good rate I would buy & stockpile them then pay the cruise in USD with our TD USD VISA But the last several cruises it was the same exchange rate so just used my CAD VISA card pain in CAD
Rare Cruise Junky Posted October 31, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2022 On the new cruises going on sale this week the exchange rate is around $1.28. You just need to book in Canadian.
