Bermuda Mobile Internet Plan

Sailing to Bermuda on the NCL Joy right now, and the WIFI service is horrendous.  I already paid for the fastest plan available, and you either timed out trying to log on, or you wait three minutes for a single page to load.  It is simply impossible to get any work done with such slow and unstable connection.  I know not to expect the same internet speed when on a cruise, but I had sailed with Princess, Royal and Carnival in the past few years, and their internet plans while not blazing fast are at least stable and serviceable.  With NCL you feel like you are paying top dollar for AOL style dial-up service.

The ship is supposed to arrive tomorrow morning, but docked early today due to a medical emergency.  Does anybody know if Bermuda internet providers offer mobile data plans that work on a cruise ship, or where I can get internet signal near the Dockyard area?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Who is your carrier? I have AT&T and always buy the $10 a day travel passes in Bermuda. Works pretty good on the whole island. My buddy has Verizion and does the same thing.

There is also WiFi you can buy in the Dockyard. I never used it so I don't know how reliable.

Keep in mind there is a limit to your daily use with most of the major providers $10 per day international plans. After a certain amount of usage the data portion goes to an absolute crawl until the next 24 hours kicks in. It'll work for you for a bit but won't be a reliable data source even beyond a couple hours.

The OP should try and find a WiFi option in the Dockyard or somewhere else comfortable for them to work on the island. Thats awful that NCL Wifi is so bad-- no excuse for that these days.

You get whatever data is on your home plan with AT&T.. Since I have unlimited data at home I have never had it slow down. I don't know about other carriers.

As far as a WIFI option my post gives a link to the WiFi option.
