We did a 10 day Journeys cruise in September. Out of 4 sea days there were 2 MDR lunches. There were a few dishes on the menu that I've never seen at dinner. They were really good. DPTexas Posted November 26, 2022 #28 Share Posted November 26, 2022 Congrats on your first Carnival cruise! We love breakfast every morning in the MDR and the sea day brunch is fabulous. One of my favs is the homemade granola - I always look forward to it and seek it out when previewing the menus on the HUB app. I also love that I can have it with almond milk. The variety of food is great, as well as superb service as always. One warning though, watch the times for breakfast because they seem to have changed and appear to be shorter - especially on shore days. Lunch for us is a toss-up and not as important for our meal needs because we look forward to eating in the MDR - so breakfast and early dining are our choices. For those cruisers who enjoy lunch, there are lots of options - a different variety each day. If I "lunch", it's definitely the deli for me. Enjoy your cruise! monty3 Posted December 2, 2022 #29 Share Posted December 2, 2022 What time does the MDR open for breakfast?
simplelife Posted December 10, 2022 #30 Share Posted December 10, 2022 I think it varies depending on how early the ship is docking for a port stop or debarkation
tidecat Posted December 11, 2022 #31 Share Posted December 11, 2022 @shiner6 What ship will you on? If you're on Mardi Gras (and presumably Celebration), Cucina del Capitano has table service for breakfast, and there is also Emeril's Bistro (which is a la carte, but obviously has a unique menu).
