First time MSC Meraviglia Music & Activity options?

Family all booked, I am a straggler, as I've never cruised MSC before.  In doing a YouTube walk through I felt like it compared to Holland America (catering to older crowds) What music other than a violinist do they have?  Any disco, Latin club/Latin music or even Caribbean music? Do they have activities during the day other than trivia, read a book or relax/swim?  Is the casino all smoking or do they have non smoking section?

I don't think it is anything like HA. They have several different types of music and bands. They have a dj, a silent disco, a guitarist, a pianist, a band. Lots to do. I have never been bored on MSC. They have games and activities during the day, out by the pool, even on port days.

Lots of choice-, several different options for live music including a Latin trio, guitar player in the pub, piano player in the atrium and another band playing greatest hits type songs , to name just a few. Seems to be  something for all tastes, you won’t be bored.

Lots of daytime activities going on besides trivia, not sure about a non smoking part of the casino. They definitely allow smoking in there but I’m not a gambler so have only walked through on my way to somewhere else

I'm  new  to  MSC my  wife  and  I have  sailed  on  other  lines and  I  would  also  like  some  info  on the  entertainment  . Are  there  comedians  onboard . Also  on a  facebook  page  I  saw  something about  some  of  the  shows  in  the  main theater  being  shows  you  need  to purchase  tickets  to attend . Do  they  have  free  nighttime  shows  in the  main  theater?

The shows in the Main Theater are free and there is one nightly. On the Meraviglia there are two pay for shows but they are not in the Main theater. I believe they are $12pp and come with a drink if purchased before boarding. I have not seen a comedian on MSC but I might have missed it as I am not into comedians.

Usually not comedians because of the international mix of passengers.  American humor may not be understood by Italian, German, British guests, even without a language barrier.  Ever sailed Cunard and have the British comedy go right over your head?  Even speaking the same (relatively speaking) language humor does not always translate…EM

On our recent week long sailing, there were a few nights with two main theater shows, and one night with no show.  I suspect having additional shows is dependent on number of passengers.  As far as comedy, the last time I ever saw comedy on MSC was on Seaside back in 2018, when they had the Beer Improve troupe from Canada.  I am using the term "comedy" lightly with the improve group.  They did have two shows, a GP rated and an R rated later show.

Hoping you are correct on the additional shows depending on the number of passengers. Loved going to the shows every night. I actually enjoyed going to the shows on the Seashore then going to the shows in the Caberet. If there had been a full ship on the Seashore would never have been able to see a show in the Caberet every night.
