pirate cruiser Posted December 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2022 Greeting again, We are currently booked in an aft verandah on deck 6 on the NS later this month-just got an upgrade offer to move to a vista suite (AS to BC)-my questions are what does AS and BC mean and are there any advantages to moving from the room we have now-we are already excited as this will be our first time in the aft-thanks ! crystalspin Posted December 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2022 The designations AS and BC are just sub-categories. The BCs on Nieuw Statendam are the "end units" on the "bump" Deck 4. You do not get the suite Mariner Points with an upgrade offer. The Vista Suites are not much bigger than Verandahs. I do not see any advantage to you! Stay with Aft Balcony and see how nice it is!
mcrcruiser Posted December 6, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 6, 2022 Yes when we could we always vied for the aft balconies . Having that 180 degree view &v the wake of the ship makes a huge difference .now that we need handicap cabins unfortunately none are in the stern of ships
