Casino offers

Recommended Posts

Hello.  My family is taking its first cruise since the summer of 2019 in a few months.  Thanks to previous casino play I get offers for free cruises from Royal all of the time.  However, these are pretty much worthless to me because we have 3 kids and always are very selective about which very large cabins/suites work for us.  What I do want, however, is free play in the casino.  Other than reaching out to Club Royale (which I just did by email) is there any other effective way to convert or otherwise use the tons of offers I have for freeplay?

On a related topic, I recall several years ago that for something like $2,000 you could buy $2,500 (or something like that) in a voucher.  Is that or something similar still going on?

We're excited to be taking our first cruise again.  Hopefully things do not get weird again.

Thanks for your collective thoughts and responses.

I don't think I have seen that in a long time.

As for offers, some have free-play some don't. You also don't have to the take the cabin type on the offer and can upgrade to whatever you want. You basically just have to pay the price difference between the offered cabin and the one you want. I have not  heard of them giving free-play instead of a comp room if you already have something booked. Good luck, let us know what their response is.

Good luck with that...its like land based casinos...comp is comp and free play is free play...they don't convert.

Hi. Currently, free play for the sailing is based on the offer. Offers found on the website will have it attached as part of the description. Some of the onboard offers (Instant Certificates) that you earn by the end of the current cruise you are on, have free play attached for future sailings, if you follow the booking bonus guidelines.

The only other "free play" that there is, is by converting your points at the end of your sailing to free play. This is done in increments of $1 for each 50 points earned.

Actually Gulfstream will convert comp dollars to free play at a rate of $2 comp = $1 FP

But when it comes to cruise lines, they seem to be more rigid and not willing to accommodate special requests.  What's posted is what you get.

Same with Caesar's Casinos in A.C.

To the Op, I got an offer for a free inside cabin for 2.  I redeemed the offer and requested a balcony cabin on the February 4, '23 Anthem sail.  The message said that I would get confirmations within a week.

Got the confirmation, but instead of ocean view balcony, got a virtual balcony cabin.😜

However, I sail solo and prefer a balcony accommodation.  Called Casino desk and ask them to price a balcony solo for the Anthem 8 niter in early February.  The agent comes back after checking with his superior and tells me it'll cost me extra.  I said how much, and he tells me $5 + the usual T&F.  I told him to sign me up.🤣
