Has anyone stayed at the AC Hotel Barcelona? It's part of the Marriott chain.

Just stayed at Hotel Gaudi - such a cute place with a great location! Since we had to be at the airport at 4am, they even packed a breakfast for us!

Hello all, I'm looking at booking online a H10 hotel (Maddison) and noticed that it asks for your passport number to do so.

 

I've never had this before, yes giving it at checkin at the hotel but not online when booking and giving your card details.

 

Is it just me being a bit wary?

That's normal to ask for passport info. It's fine and secure.

Thank you for that, good to hear. I've booked hotels all over before and not had this request so wanted a bit of reassurance 🙂.

It is a legal requirement to tell police all data about guest every night. Nowadays it is enough with computering systems but a long time ago they had to fill a book with all guests plus one card for every guest older 18 and send to police every 15 days.

 

Surely they will ask your passport before checking again
