Ambassador Cruise Line Completes Repairs on Ambience

That’s a tight turnaround.  As of now she’s still in the shipyard.

Some nervous passengers waiting for their cruise tomorrow I should imagine.
I wonder if all the crew have been onboard during the maintenance.

Some people elsewhere have said that Ambience's arrival into Tilbury is being delayed due to bad weather, slowing down traffic getting out of Bremerhaven.

 

Boarding times tomorrow delayed by 8 hours.  That is not going to calm passenger jitters.

It’s on the move . Latest ETA tilbury I can see is 1400 5th Jan.

Cruise Mapper says she due in to Tilbury at 17.00.

 

It's currently 16.20, and she's just off Herne Bay, so looks like she'll be a little late

Yep - be a late departure - maybe they will have to go straight to Madeira.

Yes, high winds meant all vessels needed tugs and there was a shortage of tugs in Bremerhaven. Boarding was delayed. Ambassador provided a complimentary shuttle service between the port and Lakeside, a nearby shopping and leisure park, for those on the London Coach transfers and also anyone else who couldn't delay their arrival.

Good to see that Ambassador provided very comprehensive and transparent communication regarding the delay, including a letter sent to them from the port authority in Bremerhaven.

No, I'm not on board. I wasn't prepared to risk a 42-night cruise without trying out the ship and line on a shorter cruise first.
