Prepay gratuities before final payment?

I just go to booking order details and pay them. I always prepay it because I don't want a surprise bill at the end. At this point of time I consider the gratuities as part of the fare.

Just go into Booking Order Details, View Invoice Details (yours should said Paid in Full next to it if it is paid off)... once you click on the invoice the gratuities (as well as insurance) will show - underneath it should say "add".  Just click on that under gratuities.  When you do this it will add them and you will have a new balance for that amount, you can then just click to make a payment.

I have seen that in the past.  But here is all I see now.

No.  I used a VIFP Casino Rate Promo.  My gratuities had been showing previously on this cruise.  It's just so weird they are not there anymore.

Reply, that doesn't look like the right screen to me.  This is how mine looks (screen shot I pasted to word to post here).  As you can see I already added insurance and gratuities, so I only have the "remove" option on gratuities now.  But before I added them and the insurance the little "add" showed under each line items.  As you will see is also where you can cancel the cruise.  Are you doing it on your phone instead of a computer, maybe that's the difference?

I remember this came up before. I think the issue may have been you can't add gratuities online once paid in full. However, you can call to pre-pay them.  This was pre covid though, and what I read here- not me personally.

Some people on here if you ask a question they are going to pick it apart and tear into you like a monkey on a banana.  Sadly some people are just horrible.  Absolutely nothing wrong with your question.

Bet that could be it!  I always add them when I am at the point of making final payment, but not before.  I add them and then pay the final balance.

 

Looks like they will have to call and have them added 🤪

Definitely call.  Interestingly enough - on my last cruise I had the same issue.  I wanted to pre-pay the grats

before final payment and the site wouldn't let me.  Called my pvp and she informed me that the casino rate I had included pre-paid gratuities!  Never had that before.
