All things in moderation AP.    I love fried chicken (do you know what they eat?  Talk about bottom feeders) too.   But like my wine, cocktails and desserts, moderation is the key.   And I am a healthy one.

Thanks to all that responded to this thread.  It inspired me to make my favorite Italian dish.  Shrimp Scampi. I just got done peeling and deveining 2 lbs of medium shrimp.  The exoskeletons are being simmered for 20 minutes.  I just chopped my 1/3 cup parsley. and thin sliced the leeks.  Grated one lemon and juiced two lemons.  Tonight we are having guests   Tonight I will heat up extra virgin olive oil, and butter in a heavy bottom pan.  Add my 1 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic and stir in for 1 to 2 minutes.  Add the leeks, and shrimp and saute till shrmp are pink.  add parsley, lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, and a 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes.  Add about 1/4 cup of the shrmp stock.  in about 5 to  10 minutes remove from heat add 3/4 pound of cooked linguine and toss well.  Thanks Mom.
