Caribbean Princess rooms on Plaza Deck question.. Noise issues?

Hi all,

Normally I prefer my cabins on the Lido deck, but this time around I'm bringing my sis who has motion issues.  We're looking at the Caribbean Princess and I'm thinking lower midship the better for her.  I like the idea of being able to just roll out to the Atrium on  Plaza Deck 5, but am wondering if the first few rooms get noise bleed from the Atrium?

So I'm considering P236 or P237 to stay as midship as possible but put at least one cabin as a buffer.

Does anyone know how much Atrium noise these cabins get?

Have walked thru the Art gallery forward many times and have not noticed noise from the Atrium.   There appears to be storage between the Art Gallery and the midship cabins.   Appears to be a quiet space with some thru traffic.

It's been a while since I've been on the Caribbean Princess.  I do like the Plaza Decks.

From this deck plan:  (it looks like)

1.  You won't get any traffic port side since the International Cafe will block that entrance.

2.  Not so sure on the starboard side since there seems to be an entryway from Vines.

I would choose a cabin in the P320 - P337 group.  You and your fellow cabin mates would be the only ones to use that small strip of passageway.

There should be very little noise from above since the Casino is on Deck 7 for this ship.

If this is her first cruise on a Princess ship, she can't get lost.

My husband and I love the Plaza deck also for its convenience. However, do not book any cabins in the interior IC category. We once did and it was very noisy. The Art Gallery has storage areas behind these cabins and they are constantly moving art in and out of these areas. We have often booked cabin P236 and have no complaints about noise in that cabin. We are sorry that the newer Royal Class ships do not have Plaza deck cabins.

Agree totally.....those that back on to the art gallery are noisy. We, too, have stayed P236 many many times and it has been very quiet. We love that location on Grand Class ships.

Thank you all for the good info.  Good to know about potential noise issues by the art gallery.  Is it just noisy during the day? I'd be fine with that.

You can “occasionally” hear noises from the art gallery if in an inside.  Not for ocean view.  Never thought it intrusive.  Removing art work from the walls for auction.  Never really early.
