Sorry, I wasn't very clear with my question. Did you purchase tickets online or at the ticket counter. Did you encounter any problems?

English is not my first language so I don't always understand the nuances of questions.

Trains will most likely were sold out at the Day - limited capacity. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.

Tickets can be purchased now (2024) at Norways Best  - many trains are already sold out.

You can also purchase tickets at Vy.no  60 to 120 days in advance.

How about disabled people who have some walking issues but who can walk with a walking stick?

I am not disabled but I am 5"3" and have weak calves due to needing knee replacements. It was a bit challenging using the steps into and out of the train. They are far apart and from each other as well to ground level.

We will be in Flam in July and as many others said the tickets sold out quickly on the site. I did get 2:55 tickets but we get back at 5:05. The ship departs at 6:00. I'm not sure if that is cutting it too close. I forget if the all aboard is 30 min before or more.  So that would be 5:30.

It should be OK, the trains run on time and it's five minutes from the station to the dock - usually everyone is on board 30 minutes before departure.

Does the train have a good record of not running late or mechanical issues?
