Are there Transfers from Bournemouth Airport to Southampton Cruise Terminal

Was wondering if there was transfers from the Bournemouth airport to southampton's cruise terminal. Was thinking possibly that it may be easier to fly into the Bournemouth versus Heathrow. Would love people's experiences or suggestions.

Never heard of transfers from Bournemouth to Southampton - you would probably need a taxi.

 

Not sure where you are flying in from but Bournemouth is a small regional airport with only a few flights a day.

With the exception of a few Ryanair flights, charter flights predominantly use Bournemouth.

If you are looking for an alternative to LHR, you could consider Southampton airport, but again there are not many scheduled flights, although I guess you could fly to Amsterdam and then fly on from there.

We flew into Bournemouth (on Ryanair from Faro) pre-cruise last September. We pre-booked a transfer to our pre-cruise hotel with Westquay Cars at a cost of £65.

Bournemouth Airport was a much nicer experience than the big London airports and the transfer took about 25 minutes.

However, if you're coming from across the pond you'd need to fly to somewhere that has onward flights to Bournemouth (Dublin, maybe?) and book a separate onward ticket from there to Bournemouth. If you do that, make sure you fully understand the baggage rules for your onward flight. Low-cost carriers here in Europe are pretty brutal.

Oh wait.... Nevermind. Apparently they redirect those to LHR and not direct to Bournemouth. Boo!!!! Just when I thought I would have a nice scenic change in airports when coming from across the pond. Easy come easy go
