Nearpost345 Posted April 10 #26 Share Posted April 10 arebaj, somewhere on here is a discussion pertaining to booking excursions before you sail (with a credit card), and then obtaining a refund and using your OBC instead . The idea is that you get to avoid being disappointed once on board due to an excursion being sold out.

The idea is that you get to avoid being disappointed once on board due to an excursion being sold out. We also had a large OBC on our first Windstar sailing on Star Breeze in Tahiti in January. We booked a couple of excursions months prior to sailing and yes we were able to cancel and rebook onboard using the OBC. The original charges were refunded to our onboard account and any unspent funds were refunded to our CC at the end of the sailing. The only other issue is that the excursions are always $10-$20 more when booked onboard. We were charged the prevailing onboard rate when rebooking. Great location and we enjoyed the large window, the living room when you walked in so I could drop all my stuff and the fabulous bathroom. We will be in the same cabin in August on the 11 day. Anything to know about the cabin? Was the movement too much being away from the center?

MargotH24 Posted May 9 #30 Share Posted May 9 We were also in 542 from Boston to St. Maarten last fall. No problems at all. That cabin is not exactly center but midship enough so that there was no trouble with motion. We liked being on deck 5 as it's close to reception, the destination desk, lounge, etc. But not too close!
