Sorry...I misunderstand. Points do not roll over to your next cruise. Some pax save their points til the end of the cruise. Some use their points for free play as they go along. Whatever works best for you is fine. It is important to remember that the Come Back and Sail offer you receive is given to you the morning before disembarkation day so any points you accumulate on the day before disembarkation will not count toward your offer.

Thank you so much.  Due to family emergencies and an injury that resulted in hospitalization we missed our deadline to book our Come Back and Sail offer this spring.  We have two upcoming cruises and I am trying to wrap my head around all of the rules.

one more question.  We are visiting a land based casino next week. Is there a way to link that membership with my HAL players club.  Is it worth signing up for their membership.  We rarely visit this casino.

Most land based casinos are in bed with NCL or Royal and Celebrity. I believe Boyd casinos are with HAL. As an FYI HAL gives me better offers than the offers I receive for free cruises from the land based casinos we go to.

One other thing. The goal is to get on the email list. It is the gift that keeps on giving. You can book 3 cruises from each offer. One of the offers a few months back included the VOV cruise. I receive 6 to 8 email offers a month. We have members in that other forum that are on HAL ships 100 to 150 days a year courtesy of the casino.

Thanks.  We managed that one free cruise and have been offered others. It is our own schedule that has prevented us from going.  We have now cleared our calendar the best we can and look forward to offers.  We don’t do cruises less than 14 days so may be limited how often we can sail on the offers.  One thing about you and @DaveOKC clueing me into this is that we now can feel unfettered to gamble.  We have gotten our spending paid back in the discounts and offers.  We appreciate the advice.

And Carnival has connections with Caesars Entertainment.

Do the comp. days count toward star status?

Yes....I will be 5 star on my next cruise and all of them have been casino comped cruises. The casino division pays HAL for the cruise at a discounted rate.

What I meant is if I play my free play my points go way down, should I not play the free play to keep the points in the bank. Another thing I was thinking about - does your status roll over to the next cruise or do you start from zero every time?  Thank you

Free play points and tier points (activity points) for status/promotions are not related. The casino logs the total amount of points (money) played and based on that sends you future offers/perks.
