Bollette in Falmouth!

Now that's what I like to see, Fred Olsen's Bolette in Falmouth for an overhaul.  How lovely to do something in the UK for a change.

I agree entirely, though I am also thinking that the UK is probably about the cheapest place to have work done now, which is likely to have more to do with the decision to dock her in the Is UK.

I have lovely memories of my week on her in the Ffords.

 

Shame her UK departures are few this year.

I did a Caribbean cruise for 30 days out of Falmouth on Athena.  It was great.

I don't know how to describe her.  Dainty or pretty are the words that first came to mind but they're not very apt for a ship. 

 

Just calm, happy and relaxed is how I think I would describe it, but fun as well.

I joined my very first ship in drydock in Falmouth ... that was when England had UK flagged ships and a ship building industry😏

our very first cruise was on Oceanic Odyssey out of Harwich.  Then Athena out of Falmouth.  Can't remember the name of the company.  I just love the small ships, but sadly there aren't many left.  Looking forward to trying Bolette.
