Catalina Island question...

Recommended Posts

Just curious, as to how often is this stop missed due to conditions not allowing tendering. We visited there last year the first week of NOV and had no issues, but this year we're sched to be there in May.

What has been your experience?  TIA

Never had any issues in the 2 cruises I've taken that stopped there or the numerous times we've taken the quick ferry ride from Long Beach to the island. You're only 22 miles off of LA-- weather is usually fairly docile.

Slight chance, but could still happen.  We stayed on the island for a long weekend in January and the morning ferry from the mainland was canceled due to heavy seas.  The port is fairly well protected so it shouldn't be an issue.
