Now only pay the difference in drinks price outside of your package?

I’ve just read the following on trintran’s report from World Europa:

 

We were told in advance that if you spent over 13 Euros on any one drink you would be charged the full price of the drink…not the difference between the two.   We learned that starting with this cruise, you now pay only the difference.

Good news if true. I am 99% of the time fine with the Best Plus package, but occasionally I like something nicer.

Still some confusion around the issue.  The situation will become clearer after all the repositionings and the Summer season gets underway across the fleet.

On Seascape now - the bartender in the YC Topsail Lounge noted that if DH wanted to upgrade to a top shelf bourbon, he could just pay the difference.
