Can you swim at noumea yet?

Hi all, does anyone know if you can swim at noumea yet or is it still closed?

According to the Aus gov Smart Traveller website as of today, the following beaches are still closed -

Magenta, Baie de Sainte-Marie, Chateau Royal, Anse Vata, Baie des Citrons, Ile aux Canards and Kuendu Beach

 

This article suggests the beaches will be closed for months yet.

I wish I had researched and found this info prior to booking the Aug10-18 cruise.... it visits here twice & I am solely going to snorkel.  😞

You can still snorkel at Amedee Island (via ship tour) and Signal Island (via private tour).  They are are not on the prohibited list.
