Land/Cruise in Alaska

We are on the Princess Train from Denali to Whitier before our cruise. Has anyone done this? Wondering if you have storage (like an airplane) for carryon? Also, does it make ANY stops or just one long train ride?  Is one side better than another for viewing? Thanks.

If you read your itinerary it states only carry on that fits under your seat. The day by day explanation is all there. It's a marvelous train ride you'll enjoy.

No you are limited to a backpack that measures 17x14x4, this is from the Princess site FAQ:Alaska Cruisetours.

So you’ve done this…is there a certain side to sit on? Does it make any stops?

We did this in 2019 and loved it. We made a brief stop (2 minutes?) for the crew to exchange mail bags and maybe had to wait to enter that last bridge to Whittier but that was it. I don't think there was a good side or bad side, beautiful trip! Enjoy!!!

When we were on train we were given assigned seats

Right side has better views but view is even better if you stand outside between cars.

There is food for purchase on the train as well as restrooms.
