57redbird Posted March 29, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2023 (edited) We've sailed out of & into San Diego a few times & I must say the process both ways is extremely chaotic....for as long as they've been doing it, it should be much more organized than it is.....boarding times & priority status is not recognized or adhered to & as far as disembarkation goes, what a mess!! When we came off the K on March 25, our time was delayed by at least 45 minutes...thank heavens our 11 a.m. flight on Alaska had been changed to 1:48 pm...we didn't hit the airport till close to noon. BE FORWARNED! Edited March 29, 2023 by 57redbird spelling
TYCruise Posted March 30, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2023 They just announced a small $5 million remodel of the terminal to speed things up and to hold them over until one of the cruise lines has money to partner with them for a more ambitious remodel. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/business/story/2023-03-03/san-diegos-aging-cruise-ship-terminal-on-b-street-getting-first-major-makeover-in-40-years
CruiserBruce Posted March 30, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2023 The delay getting off sounds like a CPB problem, not necessarily a HAL problem. HAL wants everyone off ASAP.
KeepCalmBearOn Posted March 31, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 31, 2023 We've never had issues at San Diego getting on or off using HAL, Disney and NCL.
