cruisingluv14 Posted April 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2023 Hello! I'm having a hard time trying to decide if Serenade would be a disappoint after going on the Independence last summer. I would be booking a grand suite (we had one on the Independence and enjoyed some of the perks). I prefer a larger ship and have read reviews that say the ship is small and outdated. Can you please share your opinion? There are only 2 GS left for the sailing I am considering to Mexico. Thank you!
smokeybandit Posted April 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2023 Serenade is a fine ship. If it's a cruise you like, book it.
Rare Tree_skier Posted April 9, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2023 We were on Serenade in August of 2021. I think we were the 5 or 6th sailing after the restart. We loved it. It is obviously a different experience than the larger ships but it was a very good experience. It would all depend on the itinerary. Ours was Alaska. Our ports of call were fantastic and we loved every minute of the cruise. If it were uninteresting ports of call where I would be more in inclined to stay on the ship like say Nassau, Grand Cayman or Freeport I'd probably give it a pass. cruisingluv14 Posted April 9, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted April 9, 2023 You all are fast! Thank you so much! It's from Tampa to Mexico (Puerto Costa Maya and Cozumel). Just booked it 🙂
Cigar King Posted April 10, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 10, 2023 We had 1554 6 times. It's an awesome room. The suite lounge is also really nice.
Ashland Posted April 10, 2023 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2023 We were on Serenade twice last year. A GS (#1052) for Alaska and OS (#1058) for Panama Canal. Serenade is just fine...only thing we didn't like about the GS was the location of the TV. If that is of no concern enjoy this ship. We had extended family in (#1054) and they loved this cabin.
